Hmm, I have mixed feelings about this one... On the one hand the level of suspense was growing even more but on the other hand I would have liked at least a few answers. Guess I have to wait for the big final. The letters gave me a kind of bad view on Charlie and I didn't really like her in this part. The story pace was even faster in this book. Now off to read the last book.
Silas hat erneut sein Gedächtnis verloren. All die Kleinigkeiten, die er gemeinsam mit Charlize mühsam herausgefunden hat, aus seinem Kopf gelöscht. Nur ein paar Notizen sind ihm geblieben, hastig hingekritzelt, bevor 48 Stunden vergangen sind und sich alles wiederholt. Außerdem ist Charlize verschwunden. Alle erwarten nun von ihm, dass er weiß wo sie steckt, aber wie wenn man nicht einmal mehr weiß, wer man selbst ist. und wann man die Person zum letzten Mal gesehen hat. Diesmal muss Silas, die Geschichte allein zusammenpuzzeln und herausfinden, wer die beiden mit einem Fluch belegt hat, so dass sie endlich aus diesem Vergessens-Kreislauf ausbrechen können. Mit Spannung habe ich den zweiten Teil gelesen. Und damit sind mir die Protagonisten noch mehr ans Herz gewachsen. Auch wenn Silas sein Gedächtnis verloren hat, spürt man doch wie sehr er etwas vermisst, wie ihm etwas im Leben fehlt, ohne das er es benennen kann. Die beiden Autorinnen lassen nun einen tieferen Einblick in die Vergangenheit der beiden Liebenden zu. Als Leser tappt man nun nicht mehr so im Dunkeln, weil man sich ja im Gegensatz zu Silas an die erste Schnitzeljagd erinnern kann. Herrlich schaurig. Zwischendrin meldet sich auch mal Charlize zu Wort aus ihrem Versteck. Und dann endet alles wieder mit einem enormen Cliffhanger. Sehr zu meinem Leidwesen, ist der dritte Teil noch nicht veröffentlicht und mich quält die bange Frage nach dem Warum. Warum wurden die beiden verflucht? Das es ihnen gelingt den Bann zu durchbrechen, daran habe ich keinen Zweifel, doch wer hat sie erst in diese aussichtlose Lage gebracht? Ich kann nur hoffen, dass der dritte Teil nicht mehr zu lang auf sich warten lässt, denn diese Bücher machen süchtig. Also von daher, alle Ungeduldigen und Vergesslichen da draußen, beginnt er mit lesen, wenn alle Teile erhältlich sind.
*4.5 stars* To make things super short (because that's how I really feel): CONFUSION & CLUELESSNESS. Seriously, don't expect this review to be anything except for super confusing and frustrating. This book? This series? IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY! Colleen and Tarryn, again, managed to completely draw me into the story - I felt like I was part of this book and, like Silas and Charlie, was trying to decipher everything anyone ever said. Looking for clues, thinking about everything until my head hurt and I could no longer concentrate ... it's ridiculous because I still don't have an idea. That's right, I'm clueless. I'm so freaking lost and don't know what's going on! I expected to get at least a few answers and clues to help us with what's going on but noooo. Obviously Colleen and Tarryn want to torture us some more! We found out a little bit but that only led to more questions with no answers. But ... I love it! I like that this is messing with my head and that I have absolutely no idea what's going on. Why? Who? How? What? Questions over questions! Silas was a lot more prominent in this book (longer and more chapters for him, wohoo!) and I highly enjoyed it. The letters he and Charlie wrote each other were super cute and you could practically feel their love on every page. I just hope they can figure out what's going on and fix this as soon as possible. Also, I don't trust anyone anymore. Maybe Landon although he also seems suspicious. I don't know. The ending ... well, it ends on a cliffhanger again! Not as cruel and unfair as the last one but it'll still make you super excited for Part 3. To everyone who hasn't read this yet ... go get it now! ** spoiler alert ** This is the second in a series of three books. Its not a stand alone, Its in 3 parts so by the time time you read part 3 you will have read the whole book. Basically Silas and Charlie have lost their memory and the story is them trying to find out what happened to them, why it happened to them and how to get their memories back. It was a good story with a plot twist at the end, so it kept you going . Would recommend it but make sure you have all three there to read, its maddening having to wait.
