Puh. I don't know what to think about this book. Tbh I tried to dnf the book by 100 pages in. But then I felt bad (idk why) and read the last 250 pages in one day. Pros:Sapphic HorrorThe diversity and that the author is really trying to stop the reproduction of stereotypes (e.g. the black character is the one that dies first)Cons:The writing style (it just isn't for me)The characters (I really didn't care about them)The explanation for everything <spoiler> I just don't like the "she's a world eating god"-thing. Would have liked demons or ghosts more. Also, the echos??? Why can they talk to Victor? The Author shouldn't have made a kind of "time travelling"-thing out of that, because this needs a whole lot more explanation than they give us. </spoiler>Nerosi <spoiler> I was really disappointed in the way this character was portrayed. The way she speaks and behaves isn't what I expect of a such ancient god like her. It's more of a 17 year old teenager than a who know how old god (but I have to admit, maybe this is to gain the trust of the actual teenagers). Also, she is so powerful and consumed so many worlds, why does she needs hundreds of years and at least 3 attempts for this one? And then she isn't even successful </spoiler> Maybe the book is a 3/5, but meeh, so I rate it 2,75
should i worry that kyra and kayla are kind of similar names? dear author, do you want to tell us smth?
