This whole series never ceases to amaze me. So many different characters, cultures and so much tragedy especially with the T'lan Imass and the Tiste Andii.
QUICK SHORT SUMMARY Really horrific. A tyrant (religious figure) who bus being controlled. starves his own people making them desperate enough to commit cannibalism. The loss of life in the battles. The fall of a man's God and this man taking on the pain of anyone he comes into contact with. Loved this book. I laughed so much in between the feelings of horror.
