i really enjoyed the book. i just thought that the middle of the book was more boring but it got really good at the end.4⭐️
“I’m the kind of girl you don’t want to fuck with.”
↠ I genuinely do not know what to say about this book. First of all I did not think it was a bad read… I enjoyed it pretty much actually but I think there was soo much potential to the story and the Charakters but the ending destroyed it for me. I mean it was well written and it pulled me in but I expected something else from it. Especially since most of the book was just a huge build up for the ending, when the ending itself was (for my liking) too fast paced. Also I think that about 3/4 of the book was just stuff happening but not made interesting and thrilling enough. Some stuff was written off so easily and then the next thing came. After just finishing this book I would still rate it 3.5⭐️ It was somehow(???)confusing and I didn’t really love the ending but still I think it was very well written and not that predictable as many here say (but that might just be a me problem✌🏻).

3,5 stars I don't know what it is with me and thrillers, but I just always feel thrilled for about 2 scenes and the rest of the book I am just like: aha. Hmm. Sounds good. While this book should've been terrifying to me, the first parts of it felt more like a mystery than a thriller, and only in the last third of the book did it really get spooky and thrilling, which for me just wasn't enough I suppose. The conclusion or reveal at the end wasn't what I had expected at all, which was fun and surprising though!
Erinnert mich schon fast an Riverdale. Sorry. Just sayin.
This was the first thriller I read in a long time, but it reminded me why I love reading them: they’re usually compelling, short reads and rarely ever fail to keep me entertained. This was no exception. I was hooked within the first couple of pages and remained invested in the story throughout the whole book - so much that I actually almost missed getting out at my subway stop while reading on my commute. That being said, the book still didn’t sweep me off my feet. I got what I wanted, alright, but it wasn’t anything special beyond that. Sometimes I felt like it was overly dramatic and the characters often felt like caricatures instead of real people. I also wasn’t particularly fond of the resolution because it seemed quite far-fetched to me. In the end, I did have a good time reading and I would recommend the book if you’re looking for something fast-paced and fun, but it wasn’t too remarkable and memorable in my opinion.
A little OTT but my favourite Sager book so far.
