Description

The New York Times #1 best-selling series.

Like its predecessors, Library of Souls blends thrilling fantasy with never-before-published vintage photography to create a one-of-a-kind reading experience.

A boy with extraordinary powers. An army of deadly monsters. An epic battle for the future of peculiardom.

The adventure that began with Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and continued in Hollow City comes to a thrilling conclusion with Library of Souls. As the story opens, sixteen-year-old Jacob discovers a powerful new ability, and soon he’s diving through history to rescue his peculiar companions from a heavily guarded fortress. Accompanying Jacob on his journey are Emma Bloom, a girl with fire at her fingertips, and Addison MacHenry, a dog with a nose for sniffing out lost children.

They’ll travel from modern-day London to the labyrinthine alleys of Devil’s Acre, the most wretched slum in all of Victorian England. It’s a place where the fate of peculiar children everywhere will be decided once and for all.

I have feelings to express but not the right words to put them across. I am mad in a good way, which only and only means that this series is over, I am sad, I am overwhelmed. What a fantastic journey was this pecuilardom was for me, it was not just an adventure but a lot which gave away so many things, which not brought out new Jacob but a new me. I suppose, it's what they say you leave some bits and pieces in the books you read. Coming to the story, the book really had it's ups and downs for sure. In the beginning I wanted a lot more action than what there was or let's just say I was kind of missing out on something because the way the second book ended I was like oh my god i have to be ready to be mindblown, i had higher expectations from this one. It doesn't disappoint though. There was a lot of explanation as to how Devil acre was than to relevant information I would have wanted to know more about, I wanted to know know more about the peculiars there, maybe meet someone of that loop and understand them. Towards the end the whole climax scene I wish there were not so many breaks an by breaks I mean, jacob falling again and again, I wish it was more continuous because while I was reading it I was in and out of the world constantly. I WANTED MORE OF ADDISON, what a lovely character he is. Love him. I love the way he runs off the bridge and hides to save Miss Wren. There are so many good moments in this book and I am still in awee of the end. "We have time" DAMN IT ALL THE FEELS! Second book - "Hollow city" is my favourite in the series. All in all an amazing story line and something new to relate to..!! Can't wait for the movie to hit the theatres. #StayPeculiar

Not bad, not bad at all. Although I enjoyed the first book of the series the most.. I needed some time to get into it and the plot did not "take my breath away". It's definitely entertaining and thought through. The pictures are an excellent addition to the peculiar reality. I loved the end!! That may be due to the fact that Miss Peregrine is back again. Missing her hurt my entertainment level. I have nothing against Jacob or Emma as characters but liked the story much better with all peculiars together as it is more versatile. All in all I am glad I read this series and would totally recommend it. It's a whole new world to discover.
