Beschreibung

The Kaul siblings' battle with rival clans reaches new heights in the heart-pounding continuation of the Green Bone Saga, an epic trilogy about family, honor, and those who live and die by the ancient laws of blood and jade.

On the island of Kekon, the Kaul family is locked in a violent feud for control of the capital city and the supply of magical jade that endows trained Green Bone warriors with supernatural powers they alone have possessed for hundreds of years.

Beyond Kekon's borders, war is brewing. Powerful foreign governments and mercenary criminal kingpins alike turn their eyes on the island nation. Jade, Kekon's most prized resource, could make them rich - or give them the edge they'd need to topple their rivals.

Faced with threats on all sides, the Kaul family is forced to form new and dangerous alliances, confront enemies in the darkest streets and the tallest office towers, and put honor aside in order to do whatever it takes to ensure their own survival—and that of all the Green Bones of Kekon.

Praise for the Green Bone Saga:

"A beautifully realized setting, a great cast of characters, and dramatic action scenes. What a fun, gripping read!" —Ann Leckie, Hugo, Nebula, and Arthur C. Clarke Award-winning author

"Lee has upped her game in this novel, with deeper, more nail-biting intrigue and stunning, heart-pumping action scenes. Her character development is pitch-perfect."―Booklist

"An instantly absorbing tale of blood, honor, family, and magic, spiced with unexpectedly tender character beats." —NPR

Was ein Ende!

Was ein Ende!

Oh. My. God. I remember the problems I had with the first book and now .... well... now I'm sitting here... crying and laughing and shaking. This book. THIS BOOK. I have a love-hate relationship with the main characters, love all this clan politics. Hass-love the structures within the families and clans, love the world and all the different countries with their people. It's ... oh god. This book hit me so hard and in so many different aspects. Life, death, honour and family ... Faith and power. Brutality and love and devotion. It is often such an absurd picture that opens up and makes me shake my head. The love of the father and the cold leader of the clan. Both exist in parallel - intertwined. It is so crazy. Jesus Chirstmas eh.

꧁Jade War꧂ T H E G R E E N B O N E S A G A .

I‘m glad Fonda Lee decided to not write about the lawyers of the Kaul family. these people have to go through the horrors to defend the no peak clan.

3,5 stars After reading Jade City I immediately picked up the second book, but pretty soon after starting it for the first time I put it down again, simply because I couldn't seem to get into the story. The characters I loved so much in the first book felt a bit ... off, and I felt like I wasn't as invested in their story as I was when reading Jade City. This did get better in the end, since I really liked the last 200-ish pages, but before that, it felt like something was missing. When I picked the book back up it was as an audiobook, and I have to say that narrator does an exceptional job, so that is a definite recommendation on my part! However, it felt like an overall storyline was missing. The stakes felt like they were much higher in the first book, and I did not really know where the plotlines were headed in this book. It almost felt like a filler book to me. Nevertheless, as I said, the second half was great, and I will be sure to finish the series with Jade Legacy this year!
