Beschreibung

Told from a female zombie’s perspective, this smart, witty detective series mixes urban fantasy and romantic dramedy.
Gwendolyn “Gwen” Dylan is a 20-something gravedigger in an eco-friendly cemetery. Once a month she must eat a human brain to keep from losing her memories, but in the process she becomes consumed with the thoughts and personality of the dead person – until she eats her next brain. She sets out to fulfi ll the dead person’s last request, solve a crime or right a wrong.
Our zombie girl detective is joined by a radical supporting cast: her best friend Eleanor, who happens to be a swinging ’60s ghost, a posse of paintball blasting vampires, a smitten were-dog and a hot but demented mummy.

It was a bit difficult for me to get into this, maybe because I love the tv series so much and this is just completely different. It really is a very loose adaptation. I feel like the comic is much more similar to Supernatural than the tv show iZombie... There are so many different creatures, not just zombies, but also ghosts, vampires and even a were-terrier... Oh, and there are also hunters and Gwen (Liv in the tv show) might fall in love with one of them... Even though there were way more supernatural elements in this, than I expexted I still really enjoyed it. I really loved the tone (it can get pretty dark) and the great humor(which is probably where the comic and tv show are most similar). And now I'm also kind of sad, that Ellie and Spot don't exist in the tv show...
