I loved how readable this book was - the content was easy to grasp, remember, and apply. I did read the fifth edition, a somewhat older one. It could be that the authors fixed this in newer editions, but I hated how marriage was given superiority among all types of romantic relationships - divorce was seen as the most negative aspect of romantic dyads, which to me seemed disregarding concerning break-ups of committed, long-term relationships that weren't "officialized". Maybe it's just the wording, maybe it's the author's bias slipping through. I am hoping it is the first, and that it is jut due to me reading an older edition...but I have to say, as a textbook, it is well thought out and well written!
