(ARC/BookSirens)Ā I was excited to start this Thriller and I was hooked to my seat. I read this book in two days and I nearly binged it in one.Ā
š§šµš² š£š¹š¼š š This book tells the story of Damon, who grew up with an abusive stepfather and was convicted for a crime he may have not committed.Ā Psychiatrist Doctor Emily Zurig wants to help death row inmate Damon find peace before his passing. As the sessions go on and she gets to know Damon, she wants to find out the truths about the killings Damon was sentenced for.Ā With the help of her husband Detective Evan Zurig, they slowly dig deeper into the case. Will they be able to uncover the truth in time or will they be too late? šŖšµš 4 š¦šš®šæš? ā I absolutely loved the plot and writing. Damon was deeply written and I was often on the edge of tears.Ā Not to mention the general writing of all the surrounding events and scenery. I could picture everything, from architecture to outfits, landscape, looks and character positions. It was really easy to picture every scene and that made it a really comfortable experience.Ā The only reason why I gave this book 4 and not 5 Stars, was because I sometimes missed a further depth into the characters emotions. Damon was in focus and was emotionally written but Evan and Emily felt a bit more superficial to me. I wanted to get to know their dynamic deeper.
