Oof... I have so many issues with this. My main issue is probably the sexism. We already have SO many sexist guys, why did the new vampire guy also have to be one of them. "I like my women submissive" EW! Some of the issues gets criticized by the FMC. Those are... not okay, but better. Because I'll still dislike them for it, but if she acknowledges the problem, then at least we know it's not the belief of the author, just the fictional characters. Until the FMC is sexist herself, or doesn't acknowledge many of those remarks. FMC hates other women, except her best friend of course. Everyone else is a whore. She always demeans other women, especially those who are all over Justus. She literally called the women who gave him a bj a whore, and shouted angrily at him for it. ...Also, why? Why does she think she has any say on who he has sex with? And her saying Simon isn't a man because he only got one nipple pierced because of the pain? Ew. "It's just a joke", no it isn't, jokes like these are harmful. Aside from those issues, I'm so confused by the scene where she got sent to meet up with the enemy. This is book 3 of "FMC gets kidnapped and has to be rescued", and suddenly, boom, she gets sent to a mission? With only one bodyguard? Who she runs away from... Not to mention she ran straight into the fight at the end, instead of letting him protect her... Or the time everyone was searching for the intruder in the home, she found him, and decided AGAINST SCREAMING because then they'd be in danger?? Yeah girl, it's definitely better to fight and die alone instead of outnumbering the enemy by far with all those guys who know how to fight much better than you. Overall the book is aggravating. I only finished it because it's included in the Audible subscription. I'm also not completely happy with the narrator. I hate the way she does shouting and screaming, it hurts in my ears and makes me cringe.
