I loved this book so much!! It’s about dealing with the death of a loved one, of going back to the “normal” life after they’re gone. It deals with guilt and pain and depression from the perspective of a teenager. It’s really realistic and makes you feel understood and comforted. I think I’d recommend this book (to everyone, but specifically) to people who have experienced a great loss in the past, who need comfort and something to make them a little happier again. Even if nobody in your family or friend group has died, this book still makes you feel included and accepted. There are some little clichés in there, for sure. Of course she agrees to date the guy she “doesn’t like” and of course it turns out that he’s “not so bad”. But apart from that, this book is unique and one of a kind. If I didn’t read the ebook, I’d put a little star sticker on it to mark it as something special. The romance plot is adorable, with a lot of sass and banter. Caleb is awesome. He plays the guitar and the drums (!!!), he’s super sweet and caring and funny and ahh I just love him. Becca is really sad at first but throughout the book she finds herself again and finds ways to be happy again. I got through this in very little time and I can tell you, the reading flow is great. The writing is really easy to read. I very much enjoyed reading this book. It made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me feel comforted. Oh of my new favourites!

As soon as I started this book I couldn't put it down. I was scared that I would find the storyline cringe or something like that and that it would feel unnatural but that wasn't the case at all. The book is extremely well written and feels very realistic and relatable. I love that it is shown how different the characters delt with their grief. Normally I don't like the grumpy x sunshine trope that much, because it often feels over the top and it annoys me when the "grumpy character" is too reluctant to everything , but Becca is the perfect amount of grumpy for me and there is major character development throughout the book. Even though the pace of the book is fast, it doesn't feel rushed. Also, I love Jordy with my whole heart, he's such a sweet kid.
