Obsession, cuteness and hockey
The book is well written and it is easy to follow everyones thoughts since there are different point of views! I absoloutley love the relationship between Clara and Tory, but at the beginning I thought Clara is too obsessed with her icehockey-boy. Later I realised that she needs this in her life. That she needs it to escape her reality. A few things in the book triggered me like some spellimg mistakes (“...word .word...”/ “H is... (missing e -->he?)), but they weren´t that bad so it did not interrupt me while reading. To be honest I would like to read more about the bike life of Tory and Clara. What helmets are they wearing? What brand is the gear? All in all I would say that this book is a cute hockey romance with some extras about bad life decicions, bikes and family drama.
Icing Hearts by J.J. Wright 🏒
My initial thought was I would read a cute little YA ice hockey romance, it was not. The plot was okay-ish, the characters obsessed with eachother, especially Clara annoyed me sometime cause she was a bit too flirty, felt like she got very into Victory‘s place. I still pushed through all of it, mostly because I wanted to know how the story went on. I guess I just should‘ve put it on break. One thing I know for sure: At the end of the year this book will have left my brain and I‘ll don‘t remember anything I have read. See, not deemed to be remembered. Just a quick read.
