“I've never even had you, and your body haunts mine” - AAAH ich liebe Fox 😍 Besser als Band 1!!!
Obwohl ich nicht der größte Fan von ‚Friends to Lovers‘ bin, konnte mich der Trope hier total überzeugen. Ich schätze, das liegt zum einen daran, dass es sich nicht um Kindheitsfreunde handelt und zum andern ist der meist damit einhergehende Trope der Misskommunikation ausgeblieben ist. Abgerundet wurde das ganze durch einen wunderbar flüssigen, humorvollen und packenden Schreibstil . Die Kombination aus prickelnder Lovestory und fantastischer Charakterentwicklung ist der Autorin auch im zweiten Band der ‚Bellinger Sisters‘-Dilogie wieder grandios gelungen. Dieser Teil kommt allerdings mit ein bisschen weniger Drama aus, was ich persönlich als angenehm empfunden habe. Hannah und Fox hatten eine unglaubliche gute Chemie miteinander und das obwohl die Beziehung der beiden sich nur langsam entwickelt hat! 3. Versuch mit der Autorin, ich belasse es dabei.
Fands einen Tick besser als den ersten Teil, und bin normalerweise auch kein großer Fan der Kombi friends to lovers x miscommunication. Aber hier wurde der Teil mit der fehlenden Kommunikation tatsächlich gut gelöst ... Die beiden reden nämlich erstaunlich offen miteinander, er kommt halt nur nicht aus seiner Haut raus, was ich sehr angenehm fand. Fox hat deutlich mehr Tiefe als Brandon. Im Großen und Ganzen werde ich jedoch einfach nicht warm mit der Autorin. Ihre Sexzenen sagen mir 0 zu und lesen sich oft sehr unangenehm, und in jedem Buch gibt die Protagonistin ihr Leben innerhalb von wenigen Wochen komplett auf, um mit dem Mann für immer zusammen zu sein. Ich finde die Enden jedes Mal so dermaßen übertrieben und mit so viel Kitsch beladen, dass ich einfach nur noch mit den Augen rollen kann. Entspricht alles nicht meinem romantischen Empfinden.

Nachdem ihrer Schwester sich in das Städtchen zurückgezogen hat und ihr glückliches Leben weiter lebt. Arbeitet Hannah weiterhin an ihrer Karriere, sie versucht von der Assistentin am Set zu ihrer Liebe und Leidenschaft der Musik zu kommen. Dies ist aber nicht so einfach, besonders wenn man sich nicht als Hauptdarstellerin im eigenen Leben sieht. Wie sie an ihrer Ziele kommt und was genau das malerische Städtchen am Meer damit zu tun hat? Lest selbst, verliert euch in Hannahs Ziele, Sehnsüchte und Emotionen, werdet teil der Geschichte. Schwärmt mit ihr und allen weiblichen Personen nach Fox und lasst euch von seiner sensiblen und gefühlvollen Seite überraschen.. Denn eins ist klar, für Fox ist nicht mehr so wie es war, nachdem er Hannah getroffen hat. Seine Emotionen spielen verrückt. Er versucht sie mit äußerster Gegenwehr zurückzustellen, merkt aber schnell, dass der Kampf aussichtslos ist. Hannah erweckt Gefühle, die ganz weit unter eingeschlossen waren, zieht hauchzart seine Gefühle an die Oberfläche und berührt wie keine andere sein Herz. Ein beeindruckendes Duo, was mich nicht nur nerven, aber auch entzücken bereitet hat. Sie sind so unglaublich miteinander, wachsen über sich hinaus, bestärken sich gegenseitig und zeigen, was wichtig im Leben ist. Wie ihr merkt, hat mich auch der zweite Teil der Reihe sehr eingenommen. Ich war an vorderster Front und habe mit Fox für sein Happy End gefiebert, war vollkommen involviert und wieder einmal sehr von der Bellinger Schwester beeindruckt. Ein geniales Werk, was mir das perfekte Lesevergnügen geboten hat. Ich war in dem Werk vertieft, habe mich von den beeindruckenden Persönlichkeiten beflügeln lassen. Ich bin durch den rasanten Lesefluss nur so durch die Seiten geflogen, habe das Buch in einem Rutsch verschlungen. Daher bleibe ich gut unterhalten, ergriffen, erstaunt, beeindruckt von der Chemie und Dynamik, entzückt und vom Ausgang begeistert zurück. Als Bonus bekommt man übrigens den Flair und des Lebens am Meer, eine idyllische Kleinstadt als urige Bewohner geboten, die einen die Sehnsucht nach Sonne und Meer schüren lässt.
Mir hat der zweite Teil sogar besser als der erste gefallen, da das Setting bereits erklärt wurde und der Kontrast von Stadtmädchen und Fischer dadurch nicht mehr so stark betont wurde. Eine süße Liebesgeschichte, die mich oft zum schmunzeln gebracht hat ☺️

Band 2 gefiehl mir noch viel besser .Hat eine gewisse Tiefe in der Story , die mich bewegt hat beim hören.
4,5 Sterne für ein wundervolles Buch
Teil 2 der Reihe hat mein Herz. Eine so schöne Geschichte zwischen zwei liebenswerten Protagonisten kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Hier wurde mit Höhen und Tiefen gespielt, gegen Ende mein Herz kurz gebrochen und das Setting im malerischen Hafenstädtchen Westport voll ausgeschöpft. Prickelnde Szenen inklusive, aber absolut passend und gekonnt verfasst. Das Ende hätte für mich noch minimal intensiver sein können nach sehr emotionalen Vorboten, aber der Epilog hat das dann wieder gut gemacht. Alles in allem eine schöne und unterhaltsame Reise zweier sehr authentisch beschriebener Charaktere, die man begleiten darf und die eine große Entwicklung durchmachen, was mir besonders gefallen hat. Dass man Piper, Opal und natürlich Brendan (🔥) wiedertrifft hat es nochmal so viel besser gemacht. Außerdem liebe ich, dass man hier Einblicke in ausgefallene und interessante Jobs bekommt! Bitte lest es, es ist ein tolles Sommerbuch!

Tessa Bailey schreibt nach wie vor ganz wunderbar. Mit Emotion und der einen oder anderen Spicy-Szene kriegt sie die Leser definitiv gepackt. Der Anfang war mir etwas zu eintönig und Fox Entscheidungen konnte ich manchmal nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Dass Hannah um ihn gekämpft hat, fand ich aber ziemlich schön.

4,5⭐ Ich mochte die Dynamik zwischen Hannah und Fox sehr. Von Anfang an war das Knistern und die Chemie da, aber auch die Zweifel. Deswegen fängt es freundschaftlich an, aber richtig süß und romantisch freundschaftlich. Fox lernt soo viel über sich selbst mit Hilfe von Hannah: Er ist mehr als nur sein hübschen Gesicht und seiner Playboy-Masche. Er ist ein richtiger Herzensmensch, nur sieht er es selbst nicht, da er von klein auf in eine Schublade gesteckt wurde und sich nicht mehr befreien konnte. Aber auch Hannah lernt aus sich heraus zu kommen mit Hilfe von Fox. Sie fühlte sich immer als Nebendarsteller im Leben und traute ich nicht, ihren Weg zu gehen...bis sie sich überwinden konnte. Beide helfen sich sich charakterlich zu entwickeln und holen das beste aus den jeweils anderen heraus. Und ich liebe es auch, dass es ein prickelnder Slowburn ist und sie sich Zeit lassen und erst einmal Freunde bleiben! Es hat mir wirklich gefallen die Geschichte von den beiden zu hören und sie sind mir beide so sehr ans Herz gewachsen!
4.5☆ for me. I think this book was a little less cliche than the first book. Not to mention that this aswell is a cheesy quite spicy romance. That is what I came for and it delivered. I think I developed a weird attraction towards fishermen so I guess Tessa Bailey 100% won this round. I loved the take on this one. Especially the perspective switch Tessa Bailey took by showing us through Foxs eyes what toxic masculinity and the constant pressure of having to show up as a playboy can do to a man and his perspective on himself and life. With that the preprinted image of what a man is supposed to be can rob him of the chance of a fulfilling happy (love) life. :)
I liked this far better than It Happened One Summer just because I hated Brendan lol
this almost feels blasphemous so i’ll whisper it into the dark of the night (it’s 2:55 am)… but i *think* i might’ve enjoyed this even more than It Happened One Summer(!) literally no notes for Miss Tessa Bailey - i’ve come to appreciate her immensely as an author and i know in my little brittle heart that i’ll revisit this duet time and time again in the future :’)

I was about to give this 4,5 Stars and it was a very close call between 4 and 4,5. After I devoured the first book of the Bellinger-Sisters almost whole, I knew I had to come back for the sister that I thought to be way more interesting and relatable. Hannah, the younger sister, always with headphones on or creating playlists for every occasion, mood or type of day, who much rather stays in the background of everyone's main character moments. I loved this girl before I started her book and I was not disappointed. The love interest is already known from book one and I enjoyed the way their relationship evolved simultaneously to Piper's and Brendan's, or rather consecutively. It didn't seem forced as it often does in this type of book and I loved the way they connected over a shared passion of music. Maybe this passion is exactly why I loved the book and their story so much, as I am, too, someone who heavily connects with and via music of various genres, not generally limiting myself but having tons of emotions and memories bound to songs and artists. I appreciated the way especially Hannah evolves throughout the plot and helps Fox as well, even if it is by straight up refuse a thing or two. No miscommunication trope here, luckily. After writing this, I changed the rating to 4,5 stars. I love me a relatable female mc, I can't help it.

Ich fand das Buch noch besser als den ersten Teil. Fox ist auf jeden Fall mein neuer Book-Crush. Wenn man weniger Wert auf Spicy Szenen legt und mehr auf Romantik dann ist dieses Buch perfekt 🩷
It’s a cute story, but it didn’t have me melting underneath the main characters hands. Fox and Hannah stay in contact after the events of the first book and keep texting back and forth. It is super clear that Fox has fallen for the younger sister, but he is so convinced that he is supposed to be a bachelor forever, that he doesn’t think he could be any different. Enter Hannah and the “i can fix him and make him see his worth” storyline. The permanent mentioning of songs that fit the mood of the scene was kind of betting on my nerves at some points, but i can see the appeal it would have for people who enjoy music as much as Hannah does. For everyone expecting as much spice as in book one: There is some, but it’s like comparing chili with a lot of pepper. And for Fox being described as kind of the ladies’ man all the time, i was surprised that i felt like Brendan was a lot smoother with Piper. Also, Brendans dirty talk is just superior.
Wow. I was afraid it wouldn't live up to the first book. But oh boy, was I wrong. Hannah's and Fox's love story was so beautiful. I loved how it all started as a friendship and how they built such a deep unshakeable trust in each other. But more importantly, they made each other believe in themselves and healed each other's wounds. The end was so sweet, but the epilogue was the icing on the cake.
A sweet little town that reminds me a lot of “Hometown Cha Cha Cha.” Didn’t feel like I missed out on a lot by not reading the first volume (It Happened One Summer), since I’m much more interested in Hannah and Fox’s story. Loved the backstory of them having met in the previous summer. Didn’t love the intense commitment phobia, but I liked how Hannah refused to put up with it. But ahhh … why does have to be a thing now if books are NOT spicy? The spice seemed out of place and I would have loved it much more if it had been actually sweet and not as explicit as it was.

While this book didn’t get the five starts the first book got, it was still awesome! I wish Fox & Hannah’s story was a little bit different but nevertheless it was a good read. Really enjoyed it and still gonna keep it shelved for a reread

When I read "It happened one summer" I aready knew that the book about Hannah would be better and more interesting than the one about Piper.And this book did not disappoint.I thoroughly enjoyed exploring Hannah and Fox' story. It was wild, it was funny and we love a good happy end.Again, I guess the one thing that is really not my thing with Tessa Bailey books is the hideous sex drive all of those characters have. Yes, I understand feeling phyically attracted to another person and feeling all kinds of things when they're near and even more when they touch you but...some of those (sex) scenes give off horny-teenager vibes, considering the people involved are in their mid 20s and early 30s.Though I have to say even some of those scenes between Hannah and Fox made morse sense than the ones between Piper and Brendan.There were a fair amount of repetitive monolouges which could, respectfully, be cut down and instead give room to more scenes between Hannah and Piper or even Brendand and Fox. Or Opal and Fox would have been good too! Omg the possobilities...I also loved how Hannah was not having any of Fox' back and forth and was determinated for them to have this relationship. She was persistend without being clingy. She knew when to push and when to back off.Another more of a random fact is literally everything about Hannah's personality is based on music and how she sees the world as a constant movie. I think anyone who is a music lover will appreciate this.I will be bold and say that those two are a better pairing than Piper+Brendan.

Noch viel besser als das erste Buch
Ich fand das Buch noch besser als den ersten Teil. Fox ist auf jeden Fall mein neuer Book-Crush. Wenn man weniger Wert auf Spicy Szenen legt und mehr auf Romantik dann ist dieses Buch perfekt 🩷
It’s a cute story, but it didn’t have me melting underneath the main characters hands. Fox and Hannah stay in contact after the events of the first book and keep texting back and forth. It is super clear that Fox has fallen for the younger sister, but he is so convinced that he is supposed to be a bachelor forever, that he doesn’t think he could be any different. Enter Hannah and the “i can fix him and make him see his worth” storyline. The permanent mentioning of songs that fit the mood of the scene was kind of betting on my nerves at some points, but i can see the appeal it would have for people who enjoy music as much as Hannah does. For everyone expecting as much spice as in book one: There is some, but it’s like comparing chili with a lot of pepper. And for Fox being described as kind of the ladies’ man all the time, i was surprised that i felt like Brendan was a lot smoother with Piper. Also, Brendans dirty talk is just superior.
Wow. I was afraid it wouldn't live up to the first book. But oh boy, was I wrong. Hannah's and Fox's love story was so beautiful. I loved how it all started as a friendship and how they built such a deep unshakeable trust in each other. But more importantly, they made each other believe in themselves and healed each other's wounds. The end was so sweet, but the epilogue was the icing on the cake.
A sweet little town that reminds me a lot of “Hometown Cha Cha Cha.” Didn’t feel like I missed out on a lot by not reading the first volume (It Happened One Summer), since I’m much more interested in Hannah and Fox’s story. Loved the backstory of them having met in the previous summer. Didn’t love the intense commitment phobia, but I liked how Hannah refused to put up with it. But ahhh … why does have to be a thing now if books are NOT spicy? The spice seemed out of place and I would have loved it much more if it had been actually sweet and not as explicit as it was.

4,5⭐ Ich mochte die Dynamik zwischen Hannah und Fox sehr. Von Anfang an war das Knistern und die Chemie da, aber auch die Zweifel. Deswegen fängt es freundschaftlich an, aber richtig süß und romantisch freundschaftlich. Fox lernt soo viel über sich selbst mit Hilfe von Hannah: Er ist mehr als nur sein hübschen Gesicht und seiner Playboy-Masche. Er ist ein richtiger Herzensmensch, nur sieht er es selbst nicht, da er von klein auf in eine Schublade gesteckt wurde und sich nicht mehr befreien konnte. Aber auch Hannah lernt aus sich heraus zu kommen mit Hilfe von Fox. Sie fühlte sich immer als Nebendarsteller im Leben und traute ich nicht, ihren Weg zu gehen...bis sie sich überwinden konnte. Beide helfen sich sich charakterlich zu entwickeln und holen das beste aus den jeweils anderen heraus. Und ich liebe es auch, dass es ein prickelnder Slowburn ist und sie sich Zeit lassen und erst einmal Freunde bleiben! Es hat mir wirklich gefallen die Geschichte von den beiden zu hören und sie sind mir beide so sehr ans Herz gewachsen!

While this book didn’t get the five starts the first book got, it was still awesome! I wish Fox & Hannah’s story was a little bit different but nevertheless it was a good read. Really enjoyed it and still gonna keep it shelved for a reread

When I read "It happened one summer" I aready knew that the book about Hannah would be better and more interesting than the one about Piper.And this book did not disappoint.I thoroughly enjoyed exploring Hannah and Fox' story. It was wild, it was funny and we love a good happy end.Again, I guess the one thing that is really not my thing with Tessa Bailey books is the hideous sex drive all of those characters have. Yes, I understand feeling phyically attracted to another person and feeling all kinds of things when they're near and even more when they touch you but...some of those (sex) scenes give off horny-teenager vibes, considering the people involved are in their mid 20s and early 30s.Though I have to say even some of those scenes between Hannah and Fox made morse sense than the ones between Piper and Brendan.There were a fair amount of repetitive monolouges which could, respectfully, be cut down and instead give room to more scenes between Hannah and Piper or even Brendand and Fox. Or Opal and Fox would have been good too! Omg the possobilities...I also loved how Hannah was not having any of Fox' back and forth and was determinated for them to have this relationship. She was persistend without being clingy. She knew when to push and when to back off.Another more of a random fact is literally everything about Hannah's personality is based on music and how she sees the world as a constant movie. I think anyone who is a music lover will appreciate this.I will be bold and say that those two are a better pairing than Piper+Brendan.
