Beschreibung

Jason has a problem. He doesn’t remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently she’s his girlfriend Piper, his best friend is a kid named Leo, and they’re all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for “bad kids.” What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea―except that everything seems very wrong.

Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he’s in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn’t recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on?

Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What’s troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper’s gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all―including Leo―related to a god.

Rick Riordan, the best-selling author of the Percy Jackson series, pumps up the action and suspense in The Lost Hero, the first book in The Heroes of Olympus series. Fans of demi-gods, prophesies, and quests will be left breathless--and panting for Book Two.

Heroes of Olympus

Now that I’ve completed the entire Heroes of Olympus series and finished all five books, I can proudly say it’s been one of the most beautiful journeys I’ve ever experienced. The story, the setting, and the characters – everything was simply breathtaking. The tale of seven demigods trying to achieve the impossible and overcoming every challenge thrown their way is, in every sense, amazing. It’s a piece of fiction I can hardly even put into words. I highly recommend it to everyone, no matter the age!

still a 4/5 i have definitely different opinions about jason after burning maze and also rereading for the first time after like 7 years lol. it does drag in the middle so it's not that me liking jason more would warrant a 5/5 but yeah i do like it better while not forcefully trying to hate jason for not being percy :))

This man knows how to write good books. I love that this time we have more than one point of view which allows us to see each character from different perspectives. And the mix between greek and roman mythology is really interesting.

Missing my man Percy rn

still as awesome as reading this the first time almost 10 years ago

3.5

I feel like this was a slow start to the series.

I’m not a fan of multiple POVs and tbh, I don’t care that much about Piper or Jason (but I do adore Leo). The mix of Roman and Greek confused me sometimes, since I’m more familiar with Greek mythology than Roman mythology, but I’m excited to read the next book. The ending was great and I’m hyped to continue reading the series.

3.5 ugh. why is hera always done so dirty?? didn’t like how she was portrayed at all but I can ignore that. What I can’t ignore is Jason. I really wish I could ignore him though. he annoys me to death and every time the chapters were in his pov (so most of the time) I wanted to close the book. If that mf doesn’t stop whining. Piper was fine I guess and Leo I love you. Leo was such a great character and he really reminds me of percy (who has to move his ass back soon and I expect chapters in his pov). Annabeth, I love you babe but you gotta stop holding grudges against powerful queen goddesses called hera. thalia too.

I have to say that despite loving Percy Jackson and the Olympians, I did't love them as much as this book. With most books it takes me a while to fall in love with the characters; but not with this one! The first chapter got me hook to the story for the rest of the story. If it wasn't for the exams I would have devoured the book sooner, like I would have liked to. Jason is such an amazing and lovable character! I really enjoyed following his progression throughout this book. Piper grew stronger as the story progressed and the same can be said for Leo! Leo was funny and smart and amazing! Their friendship is amazing and I can't wait to read more. It was so good to go back to Camp Half-Blood and see old friends and know new things and different ways to look at this world. I absolutely loved it!

I'm done reading the Lost Hero. I still prefer Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Oh well, it's just the first book. I know where Percy is, when i first realized that Jason is Roman, and when Hera/Juno mention about the exchange. Booom! I sorta don't like Jason, well i like the fact that he's roman. Riptide is way cooler that Jason's coin, i wonder what will happen if Jason lost his coin? He'll be defenseless lol he can control the wind and he have lightning power so yeah problem solve. I freakin' love that he is Thalia's brother. Whoo! I think piper will be a competition. Rachel, Thalia and Annabeth they are enough for me. Leo Valdez, why so cool man? He's my favorite character, incredibly cooler than Jason. And with his super hands, Happy the Dragon will have an epic comeback. Please teach me how to summon fire. I miss Grover and Nico. Damn, i want to know what happen to Nico after the war. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT GAEA IS THE ENEMY, SHE'S SO ASDFGHJKLTRALALALALALOL TO BE THE ENEMY. SO DOES IT MEAN THAT URANUS WILL ALSO HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY? Nahh The Lost Hero is off the hook, i have a strong that it will be epic. Percy Jackson is still my Demigod hero. Can't wait for the Son of Neptune!

After a way too long pause I'm back in Riordan's demigod world. And boy now I now why I had the feeling the pause was too long. I had so much fun reading this book. I liked the characters and I will always fall for Riordan's style. I really liked that we didn't get to know who Jason is. I look forward to read the second part of the series.

Okay I have thoughts. This took me ages to get into, I had to get used to the characters and the different perspective and writing style which took me a really long time. Once I finally got into it it was a really fun read, and I love Jason, Piper and Leo’s dynamic! Towards the end this really dragged on, and it could’ve been like a 100 pages shorter. Can’t wait to meet the new characters in the next one and to FINALLY read about Percy again I missed him so much in this one!! 3,5 stars ⭐️

I liked this but it took me quite some time to get into it. Connecting to the Percy Jackson series happened much quicker for me.

4

I need the next one. Now.

I actually really liked this book. It basically continues on from the last book in the Percy Jackson series. Its set with different characters but includes characters from the Percy Jackson books. It was a nice read, and good to see what happened to characters after the PJ books had ended. Would probably read it again.

Leo is my new favorite Riordan character

It has a dragon!!!!

3.5

Started for Percy, stayed for Leo. At least at the beginning. Jason and Piper grew on me over the course of the book as well. It had a rather slow start. I think that’s because I‘ve been waiting for Percy though. It was definitely a change of pace and it took quite a while to get used to the inclusion of the Roman side, starting with this series. I never was much of a fan of Roman Mythology but it’s well managed to include both Greek and Roman without overruling the other. (Ignoring the fact that 'The Lost Hero' is more about the Greek side due to their location at camp Half-Blood and the Roman side being more of a introduction. I'm sure in 'The Son of Neptune' it will be the other way around. I hope it‘s well balanced by the time of 'The Mark of Athena'.) Honorary mention: I absolutely love that Jason constantly calls Zeus 'Hippie Zeus' at the beginning.
