While I loved the spooky, haunted, charming vibe of this small town romance with a hint of supernatural, I unfortunately didn’t fall in love with our main characters. They remained shallow and disconnected. The novel started strong with witty banter, grumpy x sunshine and a quirky small town atmosphere. But the middle felt slow, repetitive and lacked significant plot development (especially in the underdeveloped supernatural element). It ultimately lost momentum and lead to a rather lackluster conclusion. 3,25 stars.

It was that smile that made him bold.” “Ghosts were real. Nick was a damn good kisser. She wasn’t sure which one was scarier. Or more exciting.” “The sunset looks so much better with you.” “He held her like she was something to be treasured. He kissed her like he was offering her his entire soul.”
