When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong 💫
To love and be loved in return 💕
Review forthcoming on my blog.
4,5 ✨️
This was my third Twisted Tale, and while they were all from the same author, I feel like none of them were what I was really longing for. This story picks up exactly where the Hercules movie ends, and as not the biggest Hercules fan, I wanted a little bit more context/info from the movie. But that was not the main problem; it wasn't even the plot which included Meg trying to become a God and getting sent to the Underwold, where she meets Hades (again) and Persephone (which tbh was a cute addition). My biggest issue was that this book read super young, definitely middle grade, kind of bland and with a cringe humor. What I love so much about the Disney movies is that while their target audience are kids, you are still able to enjoy them as an adult. But these books... they are a pain to read through with an adult mind.
