I can’t say much but that is was a pain to read. I guess the only good thing to say, is that the writing style was good enough, to enrage me to no end. About the main character, the people around her and the stupid world she is living in. I don’t think that the idea is very original and like I said, the writing might have been good, but the story itself lacked big time.
I finished this book in the space of 4/5 hours. A dystopian future where the guild has taken over the country and brand people as flawed with minor indiscretions before they really fuck up. I quite enjoyed the story. I'm a huge fan of dystopian future books and really liked the whole story behind this one. I liked the characters, although not 100% sold on Celestine going from grade A, perfect daughter, all round good girl, to changing the world and starting a revolution. Then again, she had help in doing most of it, so she could. It's the triangle love thing that gets me. Could she not meet the guy, or be out on her own with no boy to go kick ass and do what she needs to do without being in love or having a 'connection' to anyone. Ok maybe I'm being picky now, but anyway, I liked it. I'm about to start the next one, so hopefully, it'll continue, and I'll still like the series altogether.
