Andy and Jake have been best friends since middle school, and roommates at uni. Though serious about his future and long-term life plans Andy gets the itch every now and then to do something risky. After graduating from NYU Andy dares his best friend to hold firecrackers in their hands. Both end up with badly burned hands, and have to put their plans on hold while nursing back to health at Andy's family's cottage. I am somewhat uncertain about the book. There were things I didn't like, and continuity mistakes an editor should have noticed. The connection seems off every now and then due to the language. And yet I couldn't put the book down and read it basically in a day. And the realistic approach to their life changes was really well done. Sweet, fluffy read with a few distractions.
