Nick ist so eine tolle und aufregende Figur, ich liebe seinen Witz sehr und seine Art einfach groß rüber zukommen. Mega Charakter, tolles Buch. Hab ich sehr genossen, wenn auch zwischendurch etwas langatmig.
Nick, pole dancer at the Crimson Club, gets a proposition by rich business man Evan to pose as his boyfriend for three months. Things stop being fake between them - in particular after the threats against Evan hit a lot closer to home. Turns out I read that one before but forgot. I now remember that I liked the found family a lot but Nick's puppy energy was so bright that I never could see an adult, even one who doesn't always adult, in him.
Too many topics in one book or too many Films in one book...
The story was okay. Worth reading once. For me, it's a mix of Pretty Woman vs. Shades of Grey vs. Showgirls. Mixed with a neurodivergent protagonist whose identity you can certainly understand if you're open to the topic or are neurodivergent yourself. For me, it was still too much of a good thing. I understand that people want to draw attention to a lot of things these days, but this could be done in a more limited way or covered in multiple books. I found the writing style fluid and easy to read. I also had a good laugh. The narrators in the audiobook were good. I will definitely read another book by Willow Dixon.
