Also so viel kann ich dazu nicht sagen, weil ich es ja schon bei meiner anderen Review gemacht habe, als ich das Buch auf deutsch gelesen habe. Ich fand es war wieder gut zum lesen. Ich fand es am Ende allerdings etwas langweilig, weil ich die Geschichte eigentlich so gut wie auswendig kann, weil ich die komplette Reihe auf deutsch gelesen habe ( den 4. Teil habe ich sogar 2 mal auf deutsch gelesen) und jetzt die fast die ganze Reihe nochmal auf englisch gelesen habe + ich habe die ganzen Filme auf englisch gesehen. Also ich finde die Reihe gut und würde sie auch nochmal lesen aber dann vielleicht erst in 1-2 Jahren wieder, weil ich jetzt seit Januar die Reihe fast 2 mal gelesen habe und die Filme geschaut habe, also werde ich sie nicht im Anschluss nochmal lesen 😂

I tried to reread this, because why not. It used to be my favorite part, mainly because you get Rosalie's and Jasper's backstories. And I still liked that part, but after... I just can't do it anymore. I think Edward is extremely overprotective, worrying about the wolves hurting or killing Bella, when he himself or his family could do the same thing. That's why he left her in new moon, right? Makes no sense. Even worse, Jacob fucking assaults Bella, literally "making escape impossible". After that, he insists on driving Bella home, where Charlie comments on the ASSAULT with "Good for you, kid". Holy shit. Charlie and Jacob even laugh together!! What the hell kind of father does that. What the actual fuck? That was just too much for me. I just can't keep reading after that. ...Still, I used to love it so much that I can't bring myself to give it three stars or less. Four stars for every Cullen except Edward.

Couldn´t stop reading until 2 am. Amazing! Can´t wait to start the next book of the series...

i have so many thoughts for this one actually (i read it more critically than in a fun enjoyment way)…i can‘t rate this higher than one star simply because of the way several topics are handled in this book and the way certain wordings were chosen where i just thought immediate turn off… it is sort of fun to read if you hate-read it, but other than that really if you can avoid it pls do, you‘ll gain nothing from it lol anyway i used a bunch of red tabs because that‘s just how many things i found problematic and i gotta buy some new stacks now!

I remember liking this considerably more than I actually did upon my reread. What especially struck me as annoying was how forceful Jacob was in his pursuit of Bella, even though she continuously told him NO. No means no, period, and I do not enjoy reading anything else. I always considered Eclips my favorite in the series, but I seriously need to rethink that sentiment. Overall, though, the series is still as binge-worthy as ever!
