Die Dynamik zwischen Hook und Crocodile ist einfach grossartig. Ich konnte alle Gefühle beim Lesen nachvollziehen. Beide Charaktere haben sich einen Platz in meinem Herzen gesichert. Ich brauche unbedingt mehr

We follow Captain James Hook and his nemesis Roc as they search the Seven Isles for the Original Darling Girl, Wendy. I expected enemies to lovers tension in a poly MMF setup and yes, I definitely got that. What surprised me was how good it felt to be back in the brutal and seductive world of Neverland. It took me a few chapters to settle back in after being away from the Vicious Lost Boys series, but once the story picked up, I was hooked. (Yes, pun intended 🪝). I listened to the audiobook while reading, and honestly, that elevated the entire experience. The casting was perfect, especially Roc and Hook. Their voices added so much weight to the characters’ emotions and tension, and they are just sexy af. If you’re into audio, I highly recommend this one. 🎧 Hook and Roc are so complicated. There is shared pain, betrayal, loyalty, and a lot of burn your fingertips tension. We get to learn more about Hook’s past and Roc’s guilt and maybe obsession, and the slow unraveling of their dynamic is just delicious. 😮💨 And yep, the spice did not disappoint. 🔥 Wendy, on the other hand, oof. I expected someone like her fierce descendant Winny from VLB and instead got someone who (for me) lacked presence. She didn’t ruin the story, but honestly? It could have worked just as well without her. The cliffhanger at the end pulled me straight into Book Two. 👀 3 ⭐️/ 5 ⭐️
Erst im Laufe des Buches ist mir klar geworden, dass es hier eine Vorgänger-Reihe gibt. Die ersten "wtf"-Momente waren damit abgemildert und insgesamt hat das Buch auch sehr gut ohne Vorkenntnisse funktioniert. Die Menge an Smut war nicht so groß, aber dafür sehr sehr gut 😬
