R E V I E W: 🎩 Devour the Dark - Book 2 of Nikki St. Crowe’s Devourer series 🩸 (a spin-off of The Vicious Lost Boys)
Book 2 picks up with Roc, Hook, Wendy, and Asha already united, but things are far from okay. Roc is unraveling. He shifts in and out of a monstrous form, and it’s clear something deep and dangerous is breaking inside him. To save him, the group makes a desperate choice: return to Neverland and seek out the only person who might understand what’s happening to Roc — Vane. Even though Pan has banned them, they go anyway. Bringing Vane and Winny into the picture adds so much emotional complexity and tension, and I loved getting a POV from Asha too. 🌊 The history between Roc and Vane is full of shadows and secrets, and I loved every bit of it. There’s clearly something more going on, and the way their connection plays out had me turning pages like crazy. The emotional bond between Hook, Roc, and Vane deepens, and I really appreciated how much space the story gave that relationship to grow. I was also 100% cheering for Winny and Wendy to meet, they both deserved that. 🥹 And once again, the audiobook elevated everything. Vane’s voice actor is a fantastic addition, and the full cast made the story hit even harder. Highly recommend listening while reading. 🎧 There’s a little less spice than in Book 1, but the plot takes the lead here, and I didn’t mind one bit. I was completely invested in the mission to help Roc, and I felt every high and low along the way. In the end, I am a sucker for tragic love stories. 💔 3.5 ⭐ / 5 ⭐

I need more Roc x Hook 💜
I devoured this book - like the others before. Klarer Fokus auf Roc (und Vane). Hat Spaß gemacht und macht definitiv Lust auf mehr
Review: Devour the Dark by Nikki St. Crowe The moment Devour the Dark dropped, I threw everything aside and dived right in. Sleep? Responsibilities? They could wait—because this book was everything. Picking up right where the first left off, Nikki St. Crowe takes us deeper into her dark, twisted, and utterly captivating version of Neverland. This time, the stakes are even higher. Roc—the Crocodile, the Devourer of Men—is unraveling after absorbing a Myth Maker Witch’s power. It’s up to James (yes, our broody, deliciously tortured Captain Hook) and Wendy to save him before he loses himself completely. But that means journeying into Darkland, a place filled with both Roc’s allies and the shadows of his past. And let me tell you, the world-building here? Absolutely fantastic. St. Crowe doesn’t just expand Neverland—she deepens it, adding layers of lore, danger, and intrigue that had me completely hooked. And can we talk about Vane? Roc’s little brother is a scene-stealer, and every little glimpse we get into his and Roc’s history had me itching for more. The chemistry, the tension, the emotions—I devoured (pun totally intended) every moment of it. Nikki St. Crowe’s writing is just so immersive. Every time I open one of her books, I feel like I’m in Neverland, living and breathing alongside these characters. And my Disney-loving heart? Thriving. Devour the Dark is dark, sexy, full of surprises, and completely unputdownable. Now, I just need the next book… like, immediately.
