Sehr nettes Buch. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.
Mariana why? This book broke me. Like all her books do. This one was a bit different than the other but still as good. The first 100 pages are only email exchange between the main characters - Ruby and Aaron - and i see how this may annoy some readers but I personally really enjoyed reading their conversations. I admit was skeptical about this book at first because of this particular reason but I had so much fun and I am glad that I decided to read this book despite my prejudices. Ruby and Aaron had, after a slightly difficult start, such a great dynamic and I found myself excited to read about their exchanges. I was afraid it would be boring but Mariana totally nailed this part. We learned so much about the two main characters and they slowly got comfortable around each other - at least on email. And then after about 100-150 [i can’t remember exactly and I just decided the correct number is irrelevant so I won’t look it up now] we got Rubys pov for the first time. And this book kept succeeding in captivating me. I had so much fun reading it and i love Ruby and Aaron. And you should have seen my face when I realized she is Jasmines sister!! Jasmine like „From Lukov with Love“-Jasmin! Figure-skating-and-Ivan’s-nemesis-Jasmin!!!! I may have screamed but I would deny it in court. As far as I know there aren’t any witnesses. I hope so. I got really excited. Like the kind of excited where you re-download FLWL to search where the name Aaron is mentioned and reread every single scene with him. So there’s that. But I really loved this book. It was different from the typical Mariana Zapata style a bit but I loved it. I devoured it on one sitting. Like I started in the morning and just read and read and didn’t even eat or drink anything until I had no other choice than to put some food into my body. But immediately after that I ended it. And now I feel happy and my heart is full. But at the same time I am empty. I have a Ruron shaped hole inside of me. If Mariana keeps digging holes into me I’m going to be non existent once i read all her books. Dear Aaron might not be it for everyone but it was everything and more for me. ——————thoughts after second read: my past self knew what she was talking about. I second everything I wrote back then. I get why people may not love this. It’s written in a special way. Ruby is kinda…quirky. And usually a character like Ruby would fuck me up too. But what can I say…. Mariana made it work. I deeply adore this book. Which might be caused by my obsession with pen pall romances…. I swooned. I grinned like an idiot for basically all the pages. I swooned again. My need to read about Aaron again was a reasonable one, cause he’s the goal, girls. Happy to have reread that. And onto the next MZ-reread. FLWL would be the obvious one. But I’m still undecided…. 5

Loved it! They fell in love with one another quickly but didn’t know and it was just beautiful how their story went on. Loved how they were in “From Lukov with love” too. I recommend it 100%
I liked it and it got me out of my reading slump but it wasn't as good as the all time favorite book ever - From Lukov with Love. I didn't like Ruby as a main character as much us Jasmine, but I was proud of her progress throughout the story and related to her in some ways. Aaron was fine, but I didn't feel anything towards him really. Didn't mind the whole mail/letter/texting part. I very much enjoyed the beachy vibes in the end and loved the atmosphere at the beach house and their dynamic there. No crying for me this time, but I laughed out loud a few times. Marianas writing is just so good, I enjoy reading her books so much because of it.

I liked this book quite a lot but I wished that the ending would have been a little longer. I liked how the book consists of messages and then of normal narrating. This makes the reading quite good. However, I would have liked more devekioment of the characters a little more especially Aaron.
Gut, aber nicht so gut wie andere Bücher von ihr.
—Tengo veinticuatro años y todavía no he encontrado a nadie a quien le guste lo suficiente como algo más que una amiga. No pasa nada. No se que tienen los libros de Mariana Zapata que la narración me atrapa por completo, pero la trama casi no me gusta. Quiero darle una oportunidad al libro de patinaje para ver que pienso.
