ZWISCHENDURCHLEKTÜRE | 3/5 ⭐️ Ich fand es okay, mir hat einfach das gewisse Etwas gefehlt. Es war wirklich sehr süß und stellenweise auch lustig. Konnte mich aber leider nicht begeistern.
I've read this book years ago and was absolutely in love with the writing, the characters and the Christmassy vibes. Now that the Netflix Series "Dash & Lily" came out, I decided to reread this book as my November Bookclub read. And what can I say, I still love it. The authors created funny, sympathetic and loveable characters. We have the fun, joyful Lily and then Dash, this sarcastic guy who dislikes Christmas, but really is such a kind person. Boomer still has to be my favourite. He is Dash' best friend and so hilarious that you have to like him. I loved how they portrayed him in the series, even though there are significant differences between scenes. Sometimes it's hard to really do a great book justice when adapting to television. After rereading the book, I was a little scared that watching the series would somewhat ruin the book and experience. But even though it's not the same and I can tell, they managed to grab the essence of the story and turn it into something as sweet and Christmassy as the book itself. Both the book and series spread joy and happiness. I've already told quite a few people: a definite recommendation!
