Fascinating story, I LOVED the world building here alot.
I really enjoyed this book a lot. I finally gonna start reading cruel prince, so let's wait and see if any of the characters get named. I liked Hazels character a lot here, I understood because of her past. She's just not giving everyone everything, but still, she is such a brave character that shows at the times it's needed. She makes the right dessions without in a heartbeat. I also liked Jack, the way he's like her for who she is, also "we are not normal but we are we. I really loved the ending of the book. It really was a great sorry to read.
3.5 Sterne :)
Solide. Am Anfang etwas langatmig aber es war so schön typisch Holly black und super wenn man the folk of the Air vermisst ✨
DNF at Page 123!
I cannot describe how much I loved and enjoyed reading this book! It was truly magical. The characters were great. Ugh! I love them so much! The mystical creatures were wicked, sometimes scary, sometimes I could absolutely imagine their beauty. The setting was great and so detailed. I just wanted to be IN this book. Walking through the forests, laying on the grass, smell the soil and moss. Hang out with Hazel and Ben and Jack and Severin. I just wished there were more parts of the book. I wished for it to be a series. Although I have to say the book itself wasnt too short or that I felt something was missing. Not at all. I just didnt want it to end. Where should I start. Lets see. Here we dont have the stereotypical knight in shining armour. But we do have a knight. Its a girl. Shes fierce and brave and shes about everything you wish your heroine to be. She kisses whoever she wants, she fights monsters whenever she wants, I could just cheer her on the whole time. Her brother Ben is the absolute cutest. You just want to hold him, protect him from all danger and listen to his music the whole day. Together they fight off bad creatures. Him with his fiddle, and her with her sword. In their town, in a glass coffin, lays a sleeping horned elf boy, for generations. No one can break the glass, although many have tried and failed. Only to be cursed afterwards. But one day, someone managed to break it, and the horned elf boy was gone. This is when the real quest begins. And I kid you not, its going to be exiting. I have to point out one particular thing that I liked most. Hazel does kiss a lot of boys. But no one ever put her down for it. Or shamed her. Not even her brother. They have such an awesome relationship, they talk about everything and nothing is ever awkward between them. There is no childish created drama between them. Ever! So please, read this book. I said it already, I say it again It is magical.
Book #10 of Pride Month This took me quite a while to get through because I couldn't really get into it at first, but the protagonist was unique and I liked her. Not something I tend to say a lot. The story itself didn't do that much for me, but Holly Black's writing style is poetic and gripping and I get why people like her now.
Absolut empfehlenswert!
At first I didn't think I'd like it but that didn't stop me from reading and I have to say, I don't regret it at all. It was a fun read and I really enjoyed the characters.
