Alright, so after the events of book 11 and 12 in which we heard a lot about Emily’s baby and the cruise ship vacation the girls attended, we are now finally back in Rosewood and things are going straight down the hole. I really was enjoying the eleventh and twelfth book and therefore couldn’t wait for the month September to arrive so I can start book thirteen. But other than that the book is good, right after a few pages I noticed that we now have a agent called Fuji who contacts the girls to speak with them individually as well as in a group session about the Tabitha Clark thing from book nine. The girl that not only knew Alison but also the girl that acted and looked like here a lot so the girls thought that she is Alison wanting to hurt them once again. Although the girls were kind of able to tell the truth at the end of book twelve, they decided against it because A provided more information to the police about the murder and also the police found out the real reason why Tabitha died, so Aria was off the radar. Still, A did not let go of the girls and for book thirteen he or she had other plans for the girls, making them believe that everyone around them could be A – also their other friends or family members. As an example, Aria, Hanna, Noel and Mike went to Iceland and Aria met Olaf. They both stole a painting back in Iceland and somehow the painting landed in Aria’s closet while Olaf seems to be missing. A, for sure, had planted the painting inside Aria´s room, making her and her friends believe that Noel is A – because Noel was around a lot of times when they talked about A and other things. To keep this short, because I want to start book fourteen now, I really loved this book but I also missed a few things, because sometimes this book felt like a placeholder book like some oft the other books I have read in this series earlier this year, but the story behind Aria and Olaf, the cheating story behind Noel and Aria (because they both cheated on each other for once) and also Hanna being part of the story although she didn’t want to, made this book a semi like masterpiece – still three stars because I liked it and would recommend the whole series too.
