This fast-paced prequel novel is a really successful introduction to the series. Even if it doesn't have a happy ending, it makes you want to read more. I really like the characters, especially Ash, the FMC. I can't wait to read how her story continues. I also really like the author's writing style. Crowned by the Fae is the standalone prequel novella to the Fae-blessed series, which starts with Blessed by the Fae. Although there is humor throughout, it does not have a happily ever after. The main series does, however.
