Ich hatte vorher schon viel Gutes über diese Reihe gehört - und sie trifft voll meine Erwartungen. Der imitierte viktorianische Stil - und diese wunderbaren Charaktere, die kein viktorianischer Autor so geschrieben hätte - und die trotzdem nie wirklich unzeitgemäß wirken. Ich mochte Amelia Peabody von der ersten Seite an (auch wenn ich ihr ehrlich gesagt niemals persönlich begegnen wollen würde…) Das war wirklich genau das richtige Buch für mich.
