Little bit better than the first because it was not that predictable as Throttled
Best friends - to friends with benefits - to lovers
This is best friends - to friends with benefits - to lovers goodness! 💖 I loved the first book in the series, but I think I might have liked this one even more. What really drove it home for me were the characters. Especially Sophie with her quick and witty remarks made me love her so much! But the banter between Sophie and Liam was amazing as well. The first few chapters pack a punch right away, and some serious topics like grief and loss of a family member are addressed multiple times in the book. But what can I say? I loved every single minute. I loved the characters together so much that I, in fact, even skipped some smuttier scenes to get to their banter again. Isn't that crazy? I usually never ever skip the smut so that alone should tell you how GOOD these characters fit together. Lauren Asher is slowly but surely becoming one of my most favorite authors ever! Can't wait for book 3 in the series.
Collided, Lauren Asher 4.5/5 Collided could, technically, be a 5/5 but I enjoyed Throttled a bit more~ Nonetheless, the second book in the DA series was so much fun to read, had a lot of cute scenes - and way more steamy and boner inducing ones than Throttled, but that was obvious, given the list. The atmosphere twist at the end? Heck yes, thanks so much for that. LOVED IT. Most likely my favourite part of the book because everything got flipped over and we love a good twist. With the, sort of, starting trauma I expected a little more of solving/helping with it and talking about it between Liam and Sophie throughout the book, which would have been another interesting arc between them in my opinion (without making Sophie into a ‘oh I can fix him’ girlie), instead of it being issued more towards the end through the whole trouble. There were so many passages I highlighted because they were just so cute or hot or would make you blush irl??? So good. Besides the point but uhm, Jax? At the end? In this book? YESSS?! Makes me so excited to read his story. Ever since he was mentioned and described I felt intrigued…
Collided dirty air #2 r e v i e w Liam and Sophie are the kind of protagonists that live in my mind even after finishing the book. These two are in my feels, and earned their place in my heart. I enjoyed their story so much. This book proofs how *freaking* awesome 'friends to lovers' can be. Usually I'm team enemies to lovers all way through...but if all friends to lovers books were like this I'd easily change sides. This mix of F1, spice, friends to lovers and let's not forget the f*ck it list - the best cocktail! 5/5⭐
⤷‧₊˚3⭑ “You’re a hard man to resist. You’re easily becoming my weakness.” the book would’ve been so much better when sophie dropped liam and dates me instead. i do like him but sometimes i thought he’s probably the worst love interest in the series..the quotes he said sometimes?? “for such a tiny person, you sure do eat a lot.” how about you shut up and let her eat in peace?:) or when she pour her heart out and all he said was “i can’t promise anything close to love, but i can promise you endless orgasms, friendship and mindless sex that’ll leave you buzzing from your head to the toes.” no thank you, that’s all you have to say to her? and don't forget, he's a grown ass but he acts like a horny teenager sometimes.
I hate how the men always deny their feelings SUCK IT UP MAN Anyway I love Sophie protect her

I loved it until Liam spoke German and it turned out that he can’t speak German at all.
I don’t know what I feel about this one. I really loved it but it was so frustrating because it had the potential to become my favourite book. I loved the two main characters and their dynamic. I loved the way their relationship was introduced in the first book and expected this one to continue the story from the ending of the first book. Well, it didn’t. This story takes place at the same time as the first book. This made the racing aspect very boring because I already knew from the first book what would happen and who wins the Championship. It was also weird because Maya and Sophie speak about Sophie and Liam dating in this book but it wasn’t mentioned in the first book. It just felt like the two books didn’t add up. The story could have been a lot better if it took place after the fist book ended. The second thing that frustrated me was the ending. I just felt like Liam acted completely out of character. But the most frustrating was the poor research about German culture. First off: WHY DOES LIAM NOT HAVE A GERMAN NAME? He is German, his whole family has German names so WHY could he not have a German name? Liam is in no way a German name. Then: Germany is known for beer but BUDWISER is not a German brand. There is so much German beer but of course an American one is mentioned and considered German just because it is beer. This is so easy to research. Then there was exactly one German sentence uttered and GOOGLE TRANSLATE FORMS BETTER GERMAN SENTENCES THAN THIS. First I thought this was said by the two year old child. But apparently Liam said this. It is his native language. He would NEVER say this exact sentence. The grammar was horrible. And, lastly, Kraft Mac and Cheese is the most American thing ever, but not German. Kraft is not a German brand and instead of Mac and cheese the author could have mentioned any German dish. You can research this online. Well, anyway even though I ranted quite a lot about this book I still really enjoyed reading it.
