When socialite Lexi Volkov almost overdose, she thinks she's hit rock bottom. She's wrong. Rock bottom is when she's forced into an exclusive rehab facility. . The 16 year old Lexi Volkov is a drug addict and is forced by her older brother to get clean. Lexi thinks it would be easy for her to get clean and she could stop anytime she want. But as she is going through the different kind of steps for being cleab, she notice how hard it can be. . In this contemporary from Juno Dawson you can see in the mind of an addict. We can see how hard it can be to get really clean and how long it can take. Not even the main character knew how long it could take and that she needs the right friends around her. . Juno Dawson wowed me again, as always with her book. I just love her writing style and how fast I can get into her book. I gave Clean 5 ⭐ because it opened my eyes. I loved the characters and even saw myself in one of the characters. And again I can count Juno Dawson as one of my favourite authors.

I wonder if this is what she meant: just being alive is dying a minute at a time, and we have to make peace with that. I really enjoyed [b: Meat Market|41020256|Meat Market|Juno Dawson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1548409052l/41020256._SY75_.jpg|64012956], so I had high hopes for Clean. Juno Dawson’s writing is still as good, however, I don’t really know what I disliked about this book. While a book like [b: Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo|1337448|Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo|Christiane F.|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1463309277l/1337448._SY75_.jpg|1327004] left such a big impact on me, Clean didn’t manage to touch me the same way. The characters were kind of flat and Lexi didn’t really have a personality besides her drug addiction. I also had issues with the side characters, I just couldn’t tell them apart. The ending seemed very rushed and I didn’t buy the insta-love story.
