Cormoran Strike #3, also known as The book with all DA FEEEEELS . I was really excited to read the novel and once again it was worth my time. Where to actually start? With Cormoran Strike himself who I thought I'd never be able to like when I read the first book? With Robin and her ambitions for her job? With the weird relationship between them? With Shanker (who i'd marry right away)? This book is full of British humor, real 'laughing out loud'-moments and adorable characters. The writing style is once again decent and easy to read. The setting and the plot twists are solid and hell yeah - the ending almost made me cry becaus WHERE IS THE NEXT NOVEL? Ugh.

And another week spent with Cormoran Strike ;) Again, we follow a broken and rough but somehow very likable and special private detective around. In his third case his assistant Robin plays a much more major role than before and also her private life is being discussed in detail (which was a little too much in parts for me...especially the "crisis") And, just as the second book already, this one got way bloodier than the first. Still, I enjoyed all the background - meaning the settings and the special characters. The case itself...hmm, a little meh. The end was a little "huh" to me and I could not understand parts of motive and the so long not being lifted cover...I think I would have enjoyed a less bloody case (why does it always have to be murder?) more and would have been interested in following Strike with his other cases as well.

Not yet sure how I feel about this. Somehow I had known who the murderer was a good 150 pages before I should have. Am I a genius or did I miss something? Probably the latter but... Bummer. Also, what kind of ending is that? Still, I pretty much liked the story and the way that Robin and Strikes relationship gets more intense over the course of the book. Damn you, Matthew!
