The story and main idea was interesting and enjoyable, even though I did not care much for our main characters Noah and Sadie. Nethertheless, the other characters engaged me into their story, so for most of the book I didn't even notice that the young protagonists felt like just something young readers have to project their self image into, but near the end when stakes got higher for them, not caring for them made it hard to care for the story at all, at least I felt that way. Not every action and idea was making sense to me, but through most of the read I felt that what was going on was supposed to be important. It felt more mature than what I'm used from young adult fiction and avoided some but not all clichés, which always means a lot to me. Some aspects of this story reminded me of the matrix, so if you really liked that you might have some fun reading this one.
