Die Geschichte hat mir nicht so gut gefallen. Ein Grund dafür kann sein, dass mir viele englische Wörter unbekannt waren. Die drei Geschichten am Ende waren jedoch sehr nett.

Some classic literature to start the new year

It’s a nice ‚starter‘ for everyone who wants to get into reading classics.

“What I found does the most good is just to get into a taxi and go to Tiffany's. It calms me down right away, the quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there.” After reading this book, I feel like I really need to watch the movie asap

a timeless classic that's worth a quick read. i'm a new york fanatic, so it was just natural for me to read this one sooner or later. the 40s atmosphere really shines throughout the book, also with its racism, sexism and homophobia, but that were just the times back then. the message of belonging was nicely put. definitely watching the movie with audrey hepburn soon to finish up this experience. my edition featured three additional short stories by truman capote, those weren't as captivating like the main story, but still enjoyable anecdotes.

It was a really well written and thoughtful book. I only gave it three stars because it wasn't that exciting but still a nice story. I liked the protagonist and Holly (tho her character is a bit weird but you get to understand her behavior so it's fine again). For me it was a bit confusing that the narrator hasn't gotten a "real" name which makes him a bit faceless to me? And after Holly changed his name for him again, well it was over. Faceless man was born :D Anyway, in my book edition there were another threee stories by Truman Capote (House of Flowers, The Diamond Guitar, Christmas Memories) which were short but nice and well written as well.

Breakfast at Tiffanys and a Chrismas Memory 4 stars the other two stories 3 stars

It's actually a quick read but nevertheless a great and profound sketch of a charakter, written by a genius. Really loved the book.
