A lot of people seemed to enjoy this novella, yet it simply was not able to convince me of its ingenuity. I couldn't connect to any of the characters, wasn't invested in the plot, and my lack of knowledge and interest in baseball did not add to my enjoyment. Another one of my failures on my King quest.
Zelf vond ik de "zonde" waar het verhaal over gaat erg tegenvallen. Er wordt constant naar opgebouwd en je vraagt je af waar het precies over gaat maar uiteindelijk wordt dit duidelijk en vraag je je eigenlijk af waarom je dit verhaal hebt gelezen. Het bonus verhaal van Blockade Billy was in ieder geval beter maar ging voor mijn gevoel te veel in op honkbal details. Op den duur vond ik dat het het verhaal te lang maakte en als je niet geïnteresseerd bent in honkbal ook totaal niet boeiend.
