Even serial killers want a happily-ever-after . . . The darkly funny, ingenious and outrageous thriller debut from Julie Mae Cohen.

SAFFY HUNTLEY-OLIVER is beautiful, charming, rich, and in her spare time she's a serial killer. For the past fifteen years she's been hunting down and killing bad men: rapists, murderers, domestic abusers. As a hobby, it's not as Instagrammable as baking, but at least it's better for your thighs.

The problem is, that it's hard to sustain a healthy, balanced heterosexual relationship when you're expecting to have to kill your boyfriend at any moment. She's lost her faith in mankind.

That's why she's decided to look for a good man instead, preferably one who shares her interests. Jon Desrosiers, with his campaigning podcast, perfect bone structure and adorably messy hair, could be just the guy for her. As the creator of a hugely popular true-crime podcast, he has to delve deep into the psyches of monsters, though he's always been on the side of justice.

So begins a tale of obsession as Saffy uses every trick in the book to get her man. Regardless of the cost to human life...

Puhh to be honest I don’t even know what to say. I finished this book in one day which is honestly just insane for me 😭😭. So cuz of that my mind is a little blown and clouded rn. Ladies and gentleman, this was also THE FIRST BOOK ON MY FIRST KINDLE EVER ‼️‼️ YAYYYYYY. First we have Sally, a serial killer who made it her passion to kill men, specifically bad men. Then we have Jonathan, a journalist specializing on true crime and killers. He also has a podcast and has published a few books surrounding true crime. Sally knew who he was and always found him interesting and had formed a little crush on him. Things escalated quickly and so much was happening at once😭. It was good, intense and I enjoyed it. The suspense was definitely there, especially at the end. I drew the line when Sally did something to the doggie to get Jons attention cause no, that was unacceptable, what did the poor dog do to you💔. Girl, the dog, didn’t like Sally throughout the book AT ALL which was honestly deserved cause no I ain’t playing about that !!! There were many plot twists and some were expected, and some where not. For example, the serial killer who had it out for Jon was Simon which I didn’t expect but it made sense. Simon was such a weird obsessive character😭 his obsession with Jon, his work, being the protagonist of a story and CUTTING OFF JONS TOE? 😀. What the hell. Sally came to the rescue and ngl that bloody kiss they had after they shot Simon was so hot since it was also their first kiss🥲. I kinda expected Sally to be the killer of Fundacci (or wtv his name was I already forgot how it’s spelled) since he’s also a bad man but when she found his severed head and hands in simons freezer i thought he killed him but at the end we got the plot twist that it was Sally all along just wanting to get Jons attention for their love story💀. I don’t have anything much to add to be honest, I liked the writing style and it was easy and fast to read. Would definitely recommend!!

Serial killer x True Crime Podcaster Romance. While I absolutely loved our FMC I felt like there was no plot? No real mystery to speak of. It’s a duel POV with lots of snark, great characters and a questionable but compelling romance, but frankly that’s it. Guess I was expecting more.

Unterhaltsam und gut geschrieben, aber relativ vorhersehbar
