Beschreibung

New York Times bestselling author Rainbow Rowell's epic fantasy, the Simon Snow trilogy, concludes with Any Way the Wind Blows.

In Carry On, Simon Snow and his friends realized that everything they thought they understood about the world might be wrong. And in Wayward Son, they wondered whether everything they understood about themselves might be wrong.

Now, Simon and Baz and Penelope and Agatha must decide how to move forward.

For Simon, that means choosing whether he still wants to be part of the World of Mages ― and if he doesn't, what does that mean for his relationship with Baz? Meanwhile Baz is bouncing between two family crises and not finding any time to talk to anyone about his newfound vampire knowledge. Penelope would love to help, but she's smuggled an American Normal into London, and now she isn't sure what to do with him. And Agatha? Well, Agatha Wellbelove has had enough.

Any Way the Wind Blows takes the gang back to England, back to Watford, and back to their families for their longest and most emotionally wrenching adventure yet.

This book is a finale. It tells secrets and answers questions and lays ghosts to rest.

The Simon Snow Trilogy was conceived as a book about Chosen One stories; Any Way the Wind Blows is an ending about endings―about catharsis and closure, and how we choose to move on from the traumas and triumphs that try to define us.

Loved it!

I really loved this trilogy. Though the second part wasn’t as good as the other two in my opinion. If you’ve been following Simon and Baz’s journey since Carry On, Any Way the Wind Blows feels like coming home—chaotic, magical, and full of heart. This third and final book in the Simon Snow trilogy is a satisfying, bittersweet conclusion that tackles love, identity, and what happens after “happily ever after.” ___________________Spoiler ___________________ Simon and Baz continue to tug at my heartstrings. Their relationship feels messy and real, with moments of vulnerability that had me tearing up. But I also loved how Penny’s & Shepard’s and Agatha’s & Niamh relationship evolved. All over a very good story I really recommend!!

I finished it within a day and I loved every second of it! The only thing that missed were more interactions between Penny and Simon. I felt like you didn't get to see a lot of their friendship but other than that I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Ach, ein würdiger Abschluss der Trilogie in meinen Augen 💜

The emotional finale

I just realized I never posted a review for this book here, maybe because it's hard to even find words for it. There is so much happening in this volume, and it was still too short cause I can never have enough of them. This volume was way more focused on Baz and Simons relationship, which I loved but also took me on an emotional roller-coaster. They love each other so much but struggle so hard to express that, and sometimes I just wanted to shake them and be like, "Why is this so difficult? Just kiss each other and be happy!" But of course, it's not that easy, and I also life for the drama. I also really enjoyed Penelopes' storyline and, surprisingly, Agathas, as well. I never hated her character and actually could understand why she wanted to distance herself from magic in the second volume, but her storylines were just kinda boring to read. Not in this one, though, and I liked where it got her. All in all, a great volume and amazing series in general. I still wanted to know more at the end, though. It wasn't really that open, but there were still some unanswered questions, and I am a very curious person. Maybe we will see the characters again (well, there is a great short story about them in Scattered Showers).

Super!

This is one of the only books where I enjoyed reading EVERY single point of view and where I just like every single character! I am so sad it’s over because I wanna know what happens next, even it’s mundane every day things. That’s how greatly the characters are written. Loved it!

Grandioses Finale der Simon Snow Reihe. Ich mag gar nicht viel zum Inhalt sagen, denn damit würde ich nur spoilern. :) Was ich aber sagen möchte: Ich habs geliebt. Wirklich geliebt!
