Strange, long-winding and mysterious
What a strange book. It reads like a roadtrip of assembled riddle-ridden moments and I guess... fair enough, that is probably the point of it. I loved the balance or realism and myth and the weird style you get by blending both. Don't be fooled, this is no sugary tale and there are a lot of questionable moments but, again, the questions kind of seem to be the point. And I really like Shadow as a protagonist. He works well as the person to walk beside of this adventure- exploration of the American Soul- roadtrip-detective story- tale of old?! I think I need to read up on some old myths to understand even more what is going on here though...^^
Wow!
