No Re-Read cause I remember everything and don’t care that much about Reagan’s adventure
More like 3.5 stars than 4 but I’m being generous also the rating is low and people are saying this is the weakest out of them all when it’s probably my second fav. The ending is too rushed and leaves a lot to be desired but I still liked it and enjoyed reading it. Nothing too dramatic happened in the middle but I just liked the vibes and the world lmao. It’s a book about a horse girl for horse girls and somehow I liked it? Weird about how the author wrote laurel though. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure girls like these existed of course but they were TEN looking down on girls who haven’t started puberty yet and acted like most girls already did. I mean sure I started early too but most girls aren’t like this at age 10 already in my experience… not to say I demand the author to cater to my experience just found it odd lol. Still liked the vibes though wish she had stayed w her herd :/ I noticed even though the whole unique concept of the series is about them being displaced back into their own world, i dont even like those stories. I prefer those that simply just talk about the world behind the door. Like this one + reading about the moors was so much more interesting. Plus I realldy dgaf about the boys from the school...
LOVE the way Seanan McGuire writes important topics into a tiny novella. There is so much to see, so much to discover! What was missing for me was the emotional connection personally. Getting introduced to a new character was nice and the story was engaging as well. But I was not very into the story and then the plot ended neatly with a bow on top. I missed the consequences of Regans actions, but then again, this is only a short novella and for that it was very entertaining.
Seanan really said “this one‘s for the horse girls“ … which I am most definitely not
