Really, really good execution of the lovestory through texting! Alright, I'll gush some more, but most of it will be spoiler-y, here's the cliffnote version: swoony, witty, romantic read. Loved it! I loved how all of the characters weren't mere stereotypes. - I was dead set on hating Grandma Montgomery and then she was actually human, without minimizing her mistakes in the past. - Beau was immediately lovable. I expected him to be mean like the rest of his family was set up to be, then surprised me with being reasonable and thinking for himself. Can't wait to read his story. - Trystan wasn't acting irrationally in his reluctance to commit to a relationship. Also, good to see a male character not being totally pathologized for being casual before meeting the right person. - Emmy was also wonderful to read about; especially how her upbringing wasn't brought up as the reason for super obvious commitment issues. It was suttle and made her complex. - The bickering/texting was actually really witty. How I hate when romances are marketed this way and then the dialogue is mostly mean with a side of innuendo. Not here. Loved it. Okay, I think that was mostly it. Oh yeah, one more thing: I don't mind lots of sexy times, when it furthers the plot. However, it was somehow pretty refreshing that here it wasn't sex scene after sex scene after a certain point in the story.
