Ein wirklich toller Jugend-Thriller über Mario, der am Prom-Abend mit seinem Date Elana die Leiche seiner Mitschülerin Mirabella in einem Graben findet. Schnell hat sich die Polizei auf ihn als ihr Mörder festgebissen, jedoch ist das alles andere als die ganze Wahrheit. Der Schreibstil erzählt abwechselnd aus der Sicht von Mario, Elana und manchmal auch aus denen der Nebencharaktere, die in bestimmtem Moment eben gerade relevant sind. Und dabei liest sich alles einfach nur mega flüssig, leicht und die kurzen Kapitel sind super angenehm zu lesen. Auch der Plot ist wirklich interessant gemacht: Stück für Stück erfährt man mehr über Mirabella und auch die Geschehnisse am Abend ihres Todes. Jeder Charakter scheint was zu verbergen und letztendlich sitzt man da und suchtet in einem Stück die gesamte Story durch. Gerade da es echt nicht allzu offensichtlich ist, wer der Täter ist, macht das Lesen Spaß und auch die Charaktere an sich sind teilweise ganz sympathisch und authentisch. Insgesamt also ein definitiv empfehlenswertes Buch für Fans des Genres, das einen super gut unterhält und dass man einfach immer gern liest.

OK SO, ima give this four stars, this book took me a while to read cuz of school but it’s finally holiday now. I loved the change of povs but at the same time it were kinda too many characters so I was really confused at the start but it’s alr. The one thing I missed was how the author didn’t describe how they look, don’t get me wrong I love my imagination more than anything else but there weren’t even any 'blue eyes' or 'black short hair' or whatever so we didn’t know how the characters looked. The mystery was great!! It was nice to read and I loved the text messages, twitter posts and short clues sometimes !! I kinda thought it was Parker at first but as soon as Elana went to the detective just cause Mario didn’t read her letter I knew smth was up with that bitch💀. I cried too at the end at Mirabelles funeral. Overall the book was pretty great in my opinion.
It was a bit boring. Although the book was not long, you had the feeling that you were reading 500 pages. I instantly know who killed her. Nevertheless, it was a good read.
