Beschreibung

One of the most intelligent paranormal novels that I have enjoyed. Since Ms. Harkness is a professor of science history the story has an incredible amount of historical and place accuracy and substance. Have listened to this and the sequels several times and learn something each time. I have researched alchemy, Elizabethan costume and illuminated manuscripts. The characters are very engaging, believable and likable. I am looking forward to a continuation of the stories next year when the next segment is released. I am also looking forward to the television production--I am hoping it is a well done as Outlander. ( Amazon customer)

This was a re-read for me, but It felt like I was reading this book for the first time. I really love the character growth that they go through and still need to go through. I love their relationship with each other and their need to protect each other. It was very entertaining, even more so, the second time. I enjoyed the plot and the magic system along with the characteristics of the other creatures.
