'A Death-Struck Year' is an excellent researched historical novel. The main character Cleo is believe able as a struggling teenager who doesn't know what she should do after she'll finish school. I really loved her way of telling her story. The only thing I didn't like was the love story. It was well done and subtle but it was not necessary for the story.
