5/5 Got me out of my reading slump. As someone with social anxiety, I found it quite relatable. I’ve never wanted to give a fictional character a hug that bad. Also… where can I find a man like Jack? Every single character was so damn cute, and I quite enjoyed the writing style as well. The conflict also felt pretty natural and not overly dramatic / forced. I‘m normally not too overly fond of spice (especially if it wasn’t written by a queer guy), but this one was actually quite good. I also enjoyed the overall setting and loved how the animals were incorporated. It might moved a little fast, but I wasn’t expecting anything else from a 250 page book. Truly wished it was a little longer, just to get more of Simon and Jack.
